Texas holds the passing edge,Alabama has the running edge. They rank 2 and 3 in defensive ypg nationally.So how do you go deciding on these two teams? Colt McCoy has Jordan Shipley ranks 4th in ypg nationally. The Tide has Heisman trophy winner RB Mark Ingram 1542 yds. I think here lies the edge. With Ingram running the ball, this is ball control,and clock control. If Bama manages any kind of lead, they’ll run more. Texas may just have to put more guys in the box to stop Ingram. This could set up QB Greg McIroy to get his 200yds. passing. We’re one second away from Texas not being in this game. Texas isn’t exactly lighting it up against any team with a decent defense which Alabama seems to be thick with. I think the Tide has a better team by more than 4 points worth which what they are giving wagerers who back Texas. I think Nick Saban is primed here to win a National Championship. I’m going to Bodog and giving 4 1/2 .

Its kind of like the JV game before the Varsity. These two are the epitome of scoring machines. Of course whenever the two of them play anyone of prominence that all goes out the window. So that’s why they’re going to play each other. So we can perhaps enjoy a shootout if everything about theses two holds true. Both teams are comparable ATS. Tro(9-3) can you believe ranks 3rd in the Nation in PPG.Central Mich.(11-2) is 29th. Defensively Troy ranks 100th while Central Mich. is 26th.The GMAC Bowl Brings to light 2 Quarterbacks that should show their stuff Wed Night. Troy’s Levi Brown(22 TD passes and 3800+yds) CM’s DanLefevour 27TD’s and 3000+yds) However,While Troy scores a lot they give up a lot. At Least CMich. held Ball State and Ohio U under 10. I’m going to go with the Better D if thats possible. I like Central Michigan to outscore Troy and beat the spread.

People are calling this a Ho-Hum game,but if you like college football you can find something to like about this especially when you like what you can wager on! Both teams come in with great season records of only losing 2 games a piece. The #9 ranked GT Yellow jackets use a Spread option offense which is ranked 12th in the Nation in yds per game which features top RB Jonathan Dwyer. The #10 ranked Iowa Hawkeyes sports a 10th ranked Defense in yds per game.We’ve already seen in this years bowl games that those stingy defenses are doing the job. Ohio State,TCU,ECU. Can Iowa subdue the high powerd GT offense. This can be a close one. Can Iowa score enough with QB Ricky Stanzi at the helm or will their defense rise to the occasion? Both teams are very good ATS. GT slightly better. I’m going Defense again. I think turnovers could play a part in this, plus 5 and a half. I’m going Iowa. It should be close

On the other hand I notice ECU’s Defense doesn’t allow more than 3 touchdowns per game except when high Flying Houston came in.This game is gonna be close. This is game I’ve been waiting for,although the more I wait the more points they give to Ohio St. I believe it was 3 at one time. I watched Oregon play all year. They are impressive. Jeremiah Masoli is a magician. I know its PAC 10, but they are above all others. Although Arizona didn’t help the cause last night. Besides all that, I feel Oregon will destroy Ohio St. The Over is 51. Unless I’m underestimating Ohio St. thats a low figure, Oregon scores points,a lot of them. They also give up points. I think its a gift at 4 and a half. Sorry Buckeyes.

Va Tech finished at 9-3, while Tennessee ended up 7-5 winning 4 of their last 5. Va Tech scores points and wins games, their last loss was 5 games ago against a tough NC team who took Pitt to the edge last week. Both teams have a great running game. I think Kiffin will keep Jonathan Crompton conservative, unless he has to open him up when they get down. I know Hardesty is a running monster, but so is VA Tech’s Ryan Williams. I like Va Tech and I’m going to give the 6. “The Sooners have said they have to gang tackle in order to bring Toby Gerhart down. Stanford is going up against a top rated run defense in Oklahoma. Stanford’s Andrew Luck is a competent QB. However the Pac 10 is not faring so well this season. OU’s Landry Jones has done well in for Sam Bradford and has a very good Ryan Broyles to throw to. Stanford is +10. To me that’s a lot. I’m going to take those points . Its hard to say whats going to happen here. The class of Oklahoma or the heart and guts of Stanford. However I’m thinking OU should win this game but hopefully won’t cover. Stanford has gone over in 4 of its last 5 games. They’re gonna score! OU is 3-5-1 ATS in its last 9 games. JC

The Armed Forces Bowl could turn out to be another high flyer! Houston sporting a top ranked passing offense, is up against the highly touted Air Force Pass Defense. Houston’s Case Keenum has completed 71% of his passes for over 5400 yds. and 43 TD’s. Those are monster stats! Air Force Defense last game against BYU allowed 370 yds by QB Max Hall. I’d say Keenum is probably even or more comparable to Hall. Its just a matter of Houston’s Defense to step up and check in. The Spread is Air Force +5. I’m willing to give up the 5 thinking Houston will be relentless throwing the ball. He did though get into the Eagle Bank Bowl Backing up. Strictly speaking UCLA is tested by much better being from the Pac 10, but looking at Temple and what they can do offensively is pretty impressive.Temple’s Bernard Pierce alone gained over a 1000 yds., while UCLA’s 2 backs barely made 800 yrds. Something tells me UCLA is gonna need to put up some points which is what Temple likes to do. I’m going against the grain here and going with Temple +4 to win SU.” JC
